Burning Bright, Not Out

I'm excited to introduce you to the initial phase of emotional burnout.

This stage is marked by an overwhelming enthusiasm: a burning desire to work tirelessly, day and night, and an eagerness

to leap at every opportunity to contribute to your project.

At first glance, this might seem positive. Why not celebrate such dedication?

However, the issue arises when work becomes the sole focus, overshadowing other vital aspects of life, including self-care. Neglecting these can lead to serious consequences.

It's rare for anyone to seek professional help during this early stage. Typically, individuals approach me in the third stage of burnout, when physical symptoms emerge, and the realisation dawns that this work pattern is unsustainable. In our sessions, clients often encounter considerable resistance as they learn to listen to their bodies, prioritise self-care, and respect their personal needs. Developing these skills is crucial yet often overlooked in our fast-paced world.

I invite you to download the accompanying presentation and follow the provided link to view a recording of my recent webinar, where I discuss various self-help strategies for managing burnout.
